Please forgive me for posting so many pictures from this session, I just can’t help it. Working with 10 year olds is all the best things about working with a high school senior (fun outfit changes, good at taking direction) combined with all the best things about working with small children (easy to get them to smile, not self-conscious in front of the camera). It’s not a real milestone age and most 10-year-olds have very busy lives and schedules these days, but I wish I could convince everyone to capture this age in photos.
This gorgeous girl’s mother actually grew up in the little house in this orchard in Ledyard, Connecticut, and her great uncle (I think I did that family math correctly) still owns it. Funny enough, I actually lived in the same house for a little while much later, but going back to run around the apple trees and use the old farm for pictures is one of the perks of being a former tenant.
